I visited my dead Friendster account today and I browsed through a girl’s site.

She claimed that she was anything but ordinary. A catalyst for change. Born to stand out. In another word: Different.

Ironic. I know at least 20 girls who claimed to be “different”. What is different? How can you be different when you claim to have the attributes 19 other girls claim to share? I didn’t know that you need to tell people that you’re “different” to show that you’re different.

Maybe they meant the alien kind of different. Well then, action does speak louder than words.

Everybody is different. Everyone is unique. Everyone can change. Everybody can be extraordinary. Everyone is one of a kind. Nobody is the same. Cliches, cliches.

What matters is whether you truly stand out or not.

I’d rather be peculiar, thank you.
